Verizon DSL and Faithdelivered.net
It has been an interesting few days! Since sometime last week, I was unable to visit my own website. Everytime I tried to visit the page, I would get a "timed out" error. Logically, I called gate.com, the company who hosts my website. They said there was a problem with Verizon, so I contacted them. After 2 hours, the tech rep said the problem was with my computer. I laughed and explained to her that my Linux and Windows XP computers were doing the same thing! She said again that it must be my equipment. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the call was "mysteriously disconnected!"
I then called gate.com, and was welcomed by a recorded message saying that they were working with verizon to get the issue straightened out. Since it is now working, I will assume the good folks at gate were able to get the people at verizon to do more than I was able to.
